Keith Neureuther Retires from Niagra Investment Castings
Mr. Keith Neureuther, General Manager of Niagara Investment Castings, has announced his retirement effective January 1, 2017, after a 43 year career with the St. Catharines, Ontario metalcasting business. Born and raised in the Port Colborne, Ontario area, Keith graduated from NCAAT with a Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma before studying in the field of Management training at Western, Dalhousie, and Queens, and then 4 years at the Canadian Institute of Management, graduating with the Presidents award for highest academic achievement over those 4 years. Keith also served as the President of the Canadian arm of NFFS for two years. Keith joined Johnson Matthey
& Mallory, a sand casting business on the current Niagara Investment Castings site, in May of 1973, taking on the position of Assistant to the Plant Superintendent. Eventually the business name would become simply Johnson Matthey, and Keith was promoted to the role of General Manager in 1984, the position he will have held for 32 years by his retirement. Keith was instrumental in making the decision to evolve the business
from a small sand casting facility, to a state of the art exclusive investment casting facility, starting in 1987. Since that time, he has overseen several expansions of the facility, as well as the implementation of robotics in the plant. With his strong belief that commitment to customer service is the cornerstone of the success of the business, Keith especially enjoyed working directly with customers, with several having been valued clients for most of his time as General Manager. The business name again changed
to Niagara Investment Castings in early 2015 when the business was acquired by Asahi Holdings as part of their purchase of the NA Johnson Matthey gold refining assets. Keith enjoys a passion for the game of golf, spending much of his spare time not only at his local course in St. Catharines, but travelling to play on many other courses all over the world.
