The Growth Continues at Remelt Sources, Inc.
Remelt Sources, Inc. has been an alloy supplier to the
precision investment casting industry since 1982. In 2004 we purchased a meltshop in South Carolina and began the long process of blossoming from an alloy supplier/trader to a world class producer of Cobalt base, Nickel base and Stainless Alloys. Now, all of our facilities are AS9100C accredited and our chemical analysis laboratory is NADCAP, ISO17025 and PED accredited. The success we have enjoyed is due to the tremendous support of our customers and their desire for increasingly higher quality alloy. Customers that are producing the most demanding parts increasingly know that they must start their process with the highest quality alloy they can procure.
This has been the
foundation of Remelt Sources, Inc. growth. We have grown significantly during the most difficult of commodity markets, the weakness in oil and gas, etc. We are continuously improving. We continuously seek new paths to improve the connection with our customers and to provide genuine value. We have been and will continue to grow as an alloy producer and supplier to the industry.
In 2012, we decided to seek a different type of growth. In the tail end of a long and bitter winter, we found ourselves sitting around the lunchtable daydreaming about gardening. In April 2012, we broke ground on our RSI Victory Garden, a 40’ x 40’ oasis located behind our corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. The company provides the raw materials, land and tools, and the employees provide the work. This is part of an informal wellness program, where employees are paid to work in the garden and everyone gets to feed their families with the crops. We’ve successfully grown corn, potatoes, yams, zucchini, summer squash, spaghetti squash, tomatoes, watermelon, pumpkins, lettuce, broccoli, herbs and peppers of all varieties.
Each year the garden is
modified to rotate the crops, adjust the yields and implement best practices. Each of the five years has been successful so far and I expect this program will continue for a long time. Next time you’re talking to one of our sales professionals, seeking high quality alloy and impeccable service, that salesperson may be working in the garden, making good things happen.
