WOOD WORKSHOP TO MARK THE START OF INTERZUM 2017
The Sixth Innovation Workshop for Wood-Based Materials on May 15 will examine current uses of wood in the fi elds of construction and home decor. The event will focus on new applications in furniture, vehicle, exhibition and interior construction. Acclaimed experts will present current innovations and the latest research
results. Short talks and a concluding plenary discussion will offer participants wide-ranging insights into wood-based innovations across the sector.
The wood workshop marks the opening of interzum 2017 and is designed to demonstrate how the industry is addressing current challenges.
NETWORKING
Within the Global Networking Lounge, interzum welcomes visitors and visitor groups from Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
In the lounge, new contacts with interzum exhibitors can be established or existing contacts nurtured. The organisers offer assistance with any language barriers you may encounter while networking. Open from 9am- 6pm on all days of the event.
INTERZUM AWARDS
‘interzum award: intelligent material & design’ sees a jury of experts give awards to the best products in the international furniture supplier industry. The interzum awards are again being held in association with ‘Red Dot’ and recognise the best designs from the furniture and
interior construction industries’ supplying sections. Only interzum exhibitors are permitted to take part in the design competition. The award emphasises the signifi cance of design as a value added factor and is used by the award-winners as a reliable label to set themselves apart from competitors. The interzum award winners will be honoured at the interzum opening ceremony which takes place on the Rheinterrassen, on May 15, from 6.30pm.
The winning exhibits will be on display during interzum on the event’s Boulevard. Details at
