the specifi c requirement for low weight calls for special solutions. This is another fi eld where the two disciplines stimulate each other because the lightweight design is immensely important not only in rolling, fl oating and fl ying spaces, but also in residential construction and furnishing. Projects in transportation and logistics call for cost minimisation and low weights, not least for sustainability reasons.
In its ‘Mobile Spaces’ special event
area, interzum will focus above all on ‘rolling spaces’, examples of which include specially fi tted-out motorhomes such as the Empire Liner from Morelo. High-quality details in this luxury motorhome’s interior, such as multi-layered furniture fronts and solid surface materials, have until now not been used in this segment. The Pioneer concept car from the surfaces specialist Hornschuch is another extraordinary mobile space that will be on show in the exhibition and that shows the impact a fresh understanding of mobility has on car interiors. The Pioneer concept car, based on a Citroën C4 Cactus, asks what will the automotive future bring? What form will individual transport take? What is the look and feel of the interior of tomorrow? With its captivating exterior that refl ects the urban zeitgeist and modern business style. With an inspiring interior that consistently follows a business dress code. The Pioneer shows how surfaces can transform the character of automobile spaces.
The ‘Mobile Spaces’ special event will take place at interzum from 16 to 19 May 2017 at the Textile & Machinery Piazza in Hall 10.1.
while on the other hand the diamonds increase in size from the front to the back. In the interior, the instrument panel is covered at the top with a new TPO artifi cial leather material. This is adjoined by the skai®
Softskin. Its supporting surface is a multi-tear-away knitted
fabric. Both optically and haptically, the instrument panel takes up the Diamond structure once more and the copper rose colour from the air bumpers. The instrument panel is also decorated with striking seams. The same materiality and coloration is used on the door panels.
