BBT ROUNDS UP THE LATEST BUSINESS TRAVEL INDUSTRY APPOINTMENTS


EDWARD PINCHARD Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Edward Pinchard as vice-president of sales EMEA. He will be based in Brussels. Pinchard joined the group in 2012 and has 20 years’ experience in hospitality, including roles at IHG, Hilton and GHL Hotels.


FRANCESCO DELUCA Omega World Travel has appointed Francesco Deluca as director of sales and client services EMEA, with overall control over the UK operation. Deluca has worked for Omega for 15 years in operations, MICE, sales and account management.


CHRIS BAILEY


Chris Bailey has been promoted to chief operating officer for Centara Hotels and Resorts. He was previously senior vice-president of sales and marketing. He joined Centara in 2004. Since then the group has grown from eight properties to 70.


MELANIE KLASCHKA


Melanie Klaschka has been appointed as head of sales for Europe at SACO. Based in Dusseldorf, she will be responsible for building the serviced apartment provider’s presence in Europe as part of its expansion plans in the region.


CINDY ALLEN American Express Global Business Travel has


appointed Cindy Allen as chief marketing officer. She was previously vice-president of TMC services at Concur, and served as chief executive of GDSX for five years, before it became part of Concur.


JILL PALMER Click Travel has promoted Jill Palmer from operations director to managing director. Simon McLean is moving to the newly created role of executive chairman. Palmer is replaced by Chris Vince, formerly head of account management.


ORAZIO LAMBIASE


Orazio Lambiase has been appointed as head of distribution at Easyjet. He joins from Onefinestay where he was responsible for distribution and partner marketing. Previously, he spent eight years with Expedia in Dubai and London.


ANDREA CAULFIELD-SMITH Andrea Caulfield-Smith has been appointed as UK head of corporate sales at Easyjet. She has more than 27 years’ travel industry experience and joins the airline from American Express, where she has held several management roles.


MARIE BATES Arora Hotels has appointed Marie Bates as head of sales. She was previously sales and marketing director at the Park Inn Hotel Heathrow. Her 15 years’ travel industry experience includes roles at Zibrant, Hilton and Park Plaza.

TON VAN VILSTEREN Jumeirah Group has appointed Ton van Vilsteren as chief financial officer. He previously enjoyed a 20-year career with the Hilton Group in various global finance positions – most recently (since 2007) as head of finance for Asia-Pacific.


CLAIRE STEPHENS Silverdoor has appointed Claire Stephens as head of business relationships. Stephens joined the company in 2011 and has worked in various roles including client account manager and, most recently, principal account manager (since 2014).


DANIEL GUILLOU


Daniel Guillou has been appointed as managing director of Travelport Hotelzon. Guillou will be based in Finland, overseeing expansion outside of Europe. He has held leadership roles in IT and telecoms companies Ericsson and Tieto.
