electrical/electronics. The new compounds will be on display with the full range of Radici products, from its high temperature resistant Radilon HHR and Radilon X-Treme to its Radistrong, Radilon A, S, D and DT metal replacement options, which include PA610 and PA 612 grades. Flame retardant options include the Radiflam HF halogen and red phosphorous-free products for the electrical and electronics industry and Radiflam S grades, which were selected for use in seating at five of the venues for the recent Rio Olympics. ❙ www.radicigroup.com

modification of PC/ABS blends and to PP with a high heat resistant glass reinforced product marketed as Xiloy. The company says that Xiloy is more than a maleic anhydride modified PP. It is aimed at applications where PP has displaced ABS, including exterior parts (ABS requires painting) and in instrument panels. “We started out in IPs but that is a market dominated by PP. We now have an opportunity to go back into that,” says Polyscope Engineering Plastics Business Unit Director Ferdi Faas. “It is part of our strategy of exploring what we can do with SMA where there is a specific need.” ❙ www.polyscope.eu

Proell will demonstrate pad printing of a measuring tape on a Morlock MKM 80 four-colour printing machine, as well as production of an IMD trolley coin in PC/ABS on a Boy XS injection machine equipped with automation by Geiger Handling. The company will show examples of IMD inserts produced in PC, PMMA, ABS and PP films using its Norilux DC formable abrasion resistant dual cure screen printing lacquer, which is available in glossy, satin and matt grades. It will also show its Noriphan XMR screen inks and NoriPress adhesion promoter for PP IMD and FIM films. The latter is said to make it possible to back surface mould without the use of a laminate construction. Other exhibits include Matt lacquer ATM WB6 for overprinting PC automotive instrument gauge panels and NociCure UV inks for laminated PVC and PETG cards. ❙ www.proell.de

Radici will launch its new Radilon Aestus T high temperature-resistant PPA product line at K 2016. The new products are aimed at applications in automotive, water/plumbing, beverage dispensing equipment and

Riverdale Global will show a new series of liquid blowing agents for use with a wide range of resins that are claimed to provide improved dispersion and more controlled foaming action than pellet masterbatches, while being used at lower addition levels. The chemical blowing agent (CBA) formulations available in the new +Foam series of liquid additives include the standard exothermic azodicarbonamide CBA, an endothermic CBA, and a combination of the two. All are used at 0.5-1.5% letdown ratios, which are lower than levels

typically required for pellet masterbatches. The company says the liquid additives can be used with polyolefins, polystyrene, ABS, PPO and other polymers. According to the

company, because +Foam

liquid blowing agents avoid the heat history required for manufacturing pellet masterbatches and are more gently mixed into the base resin, pre-decomposition of the CBA is less of a concern. For users of +Foam products based on an endothermic CBA, there is also the added benefit of shorter cycle times since the CBA contributes less heat to the process. ❙ www.riverdaleglobal.com

SABIC will be showing the latest additions to its range of polyolefins for production of lightweight thin wall packaging and closures. HDPE CC860V is a new high purity grade developed

for production of caps and closures for still water. Already in use by a number of leading water brands, the resin offers very good organoleptic performance, minimising any risk of flavour tainting or odours. It also complies with all relevant food contact regulations. Other grades targeting the caps and closures sector
