Zumbach has a number of solutions for measuring the wall thickness of pipes and hoses

meaning that design file selection can be changed via a PLC or host network PC. Other new software features include: the ability to

save and print snapshots; a new offline mode; and new calliper prioritisation, which enables one action to be taken on high priority callipers and another on low priority callipers. Other major updates to the system include: a 25%

improvement in accuracy – to 0.045% of the field of view; an optional alarm notification module – which sends instant email notification when an alarm condition is met; and optional advanced reporting module – allowing users to select the start and end times for the report.

instance, data logging and alarming can now be paused – and resumed later via external signal – while still viewing real-time profiles in PSViewer. The company says this can prevent start-up scrap data from being logged in a production report. At the same time, a new circle calliper can be used

to measure minimum and maximum diameters, ovality and circumference of round profiles. New designs can be loaded via Modbus, TCP or OPC,
