Russia decline in 2010, down by 8% on 2009. However, the German manufacturers appear to have realised a dramatic turnaround, with exports to Russia for the first nine months of 2011 up by 87% to a value of E143.2 million.
Meanwhile, the VDMA says worldwide exports of
plastics and rubber machinery to India totalled E565.3 million in 2010, an increase of 16.6% on 2009. Germany is also the number one supplier to India, with a 25% share of the market worth E141.1 million. Second place is held by China with a value of E119.6 million and third place Taiwan at E66.2 million. While Italy holds a strong place in the Russian

to sixth place in India in 2010 with export sales worth E29.8 million. Italy’s plastics and rubber machinery business in India was down by almost 33% on 2009. German exports of plastics and rubber machinery to
India over the first nine months of 2011 totalled E125.3 million, up by 44.8% on the same period in 2010. ❙
