IN STORE AT FIRED EARTH, KNUTSFORD Sales Insight

Creative Director, Rob Whitaker talks us through this season’s predictions and sales insights.

What is your best-selling flooring product?

The St Ives wood-grain porcelain parquet is a really strong seller at the moment since it offers the perfect combination of style and, fantastic value and practicality.

What colours and tetures are moving well at the moment?

Pattern is definitely popular, particularly bold geometric designs and antiqued Moroccan tiles. Shaped tiles, from hexagons to curved Arabesque designs and porcelain planks, are selling strongly too.

What are your predictions for net season?

The trend for decorative flooring and geometric pattern looks set to continue as customers realise the potential of floors as a blank canvas that they can get really creative with. Moroccan tiles and sophisticated porcelain replica stones and woods are sure to be in great demand too. The increasingly wide and exciting choice of stunning decorative tiles, and affordable underfloor heating systems, is also leading to tiles being used throughout the home. Traditionally, in Britain we’ve tended to use them in kitchens, bathrooms and hallways and I’m sure that the change will gather pace over the coming months.

Is Fred Earth on social media?

We use Twitter and Facebook to announce news of product promotions, launches, events and competitions. Social media enables us to directly and instantly engage with customers and in turn it gives customers the opportunity to provide us with feedback on everything from a lovely experience they’ve had in the showroom to thoughts on a new tile range.
