Guests were treated to a Question and Answer session packed with great anecdotes, the host of Football Focus, Dan Walker, putting his own and the audience’s questions to Ian Wright. Guests also got Ian Wright’s predictions for the Premier League this season.

“Our Golf Day is always a popular fixture,” said Shaun Chatterton, CHSA Council Member and the driving force behind the Golf Day. “With the added treat of Ian Wright on the course and giving his time for the Q&A and Dan’s skillful and very entertaining handling of the day,

it’s no wonder many said it was the best ever!”

The winning team came from Harrison Wipes (Stephen Harrison, Alistair Needler, Steven March and Alex Belt), with Arco coming second and last year’s champions, Greyland coming third.

Golfers and non-golfers alike were also treated to a spectacular display of trick golf by Tricky Rob.

Shaun Chatterton continued: “We’re incredibly pleased to have raised so much for Helping Treat Cancer Together. The generosity of our members combined with the wonderful Auction prizes donated by Sky Bet and Eligo mean we were able to raise more than ever before; a huge thank you to everyone who took part.”

The Helping Treat Cancer Together Committee helps cancer patients with treatment costs the NHS will not fund where the patient’s doctors believe there is a reasonable chance the treatment will provide a cure, prolong life expectancy or improve quality of life.
