TOMORROW’S FLOORING AWARDS 2015
SGV STEAM VACUUM KÄRCHER
Kärcher’s new SGV features new innovations never before seen on a steam vac. The unique self-cleaning system automatically removes deposits inside the machine itself after every use, significantly prolonging its life and reducing problems caused by fat and grease build-up inside the machine. The detergent function is ideal for deep cleaning of large areas like floors, or where a shine or fragrance is preferred.
The SGV’s small footprint, high handle and large wheels make it easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces. A 4m suction hose and water/ steam and vacuum controls built in to the handle often mean that the machine can be left outside the room being cleaned.
Operating an SGV is intuitive, with no need for special training. The accessories are integrated directly in or on the machine, meaning they are protected against loss and dirt, well organised, and always within reach. The tanks for fresh water and detergent are readily accessible and easy to carry for convenient filling and emptying.
The eco!efficiency mode lowers power consumption to reduce operating costs, in turn reducing the noise level to 64 dB(A): ideal for use in noise-sensitive areas such as retirement homes and care facilities, canteens and hotels.
SIKALEVEL FIBRE REINFORCED SIKA
SikaLevel Fibre Reinforced is the new latex modified, cement-based levelling compound from Sika. Fibre Reinforced has been enhanced with polymeric microfibers to improve durability and tensile strength, which provides extra resilience against cracking.
SikaLevel Fibre Reinforced can be used for smoothing and levelling surface irregularities on difficult internal and external floors – including wood, floating floors, sand and concrete slabs and ceramic and plastic tiles. Due to its increased strength it is also the ideal product to use with under-floor heating systems.
A key feature of SikaLevel Fibre Reinforced is its low dust formulation, especially beneficial for domestic uses. Another useful component of Fibre Reinforced is the rapid setting quality, with light foot traffic possible after just 2–4 hours and floor coverings able to be laid after just 24 hours.
Unlike some other levelling products, SikaLevel Fibre Reinforced can be used as a wearing surface. It can also be applied prior to the user applying other wearing surfaces – such as carpet, vinyl, tiles, laminates or wood.
It’s suitability for a range of floor coverings means SikaLevel Fibre Reinforced can be used alongside a wide range of Sika products.
