AWARDS 2015 TOMORROW’S FLOORING

FREQUENCY RANGE QUADRANT CARPETS

Quadrant Carpets has created the Frequency range, a highly dynamic and adaptable carpet tile which provides the designer with a wide spectrum of mood and narrative pathways for their interior design concept.

Frequency has been developed to offer designers, specifiers and end users a contemporary tile in a palette of 12 soft through to vibrant colour ways, set on a mid or dark grey base note. The carpet design permits the blurring between linear and geometric shapes creating visual drift where defined borders previously occurred.

James Scully, Frequency’s designer, and Managing Director of Quadrant Carpets, was inspired during a meteor shower, watching in the darkness as it was shot through with translucent light.

The concept is manufactured in the UK using Antron Lumena fibre; the unique hollow filament profile of the fibre guarantees increased texture retention and high long-term resistance to matting and crushing. The fibres are solution-dyed providing the highest luminosity and colour performance over the life of the carpet. The tiles benefit from Quadrant’s high density 12th gauge construction that ensures a high performance, heavy traffic commercial flooring solution.

FRONTRUNNER PLASTEX

Manufactured from flexible PVC and supplied in 10m long rolls, Plastic Extruders Ltd’s Frontrunner Entrance Flooring System offers attractive options and easy, quick and seamless installations for all your entrance needs.

As style is an important factor when choosing your entrance

flooring, the Frontrunner range offers 5 colour grids, together with a choice of 10 different absorbent inserts, giving 50 possible design combinations, which can be enhanced with logo design.

The range includes products that act as primary and secondary mattings. Such system initially scrapes dirt off shoes and wheels thanks to aggressive diamond tread patterns or nylon brushes. The addition of absorbent inserts provide clean and dry.

The products in the range feature open grid rolls in two heights that permit dirt and debris to fall through and prevent them from entering the building. For applications with no recessed matwell, 6.5mm high open ribbed products have been designed, with a solid back construction that effectively contains dirt.

Plastic Extruders Ltd, or Plastex, has been a UK manufacturer of matting and flooring solutions for over 50 years.
