Hello and welcome to our second special floorcare supplement.
This time around, I’ve been very busy visiting some of the big names in the floorcare industry to see what the future holds for this ever changing sector.
The first of which was a visit down to Wiltshire, to step inside the secret world of Dyson. The vacuum cleaner giants have a thick shroud of secrecy surrounding everything they do, but I managed to sit down with Nick Schneider, a design engineer from their Research, Design and Development department, to try and find out what they’re doing next, with mixed results.

While I was ‘down south’, I also popped in to see Premiere Products at their Cheltenham base. The cleaning chemical manufacturers celebrated their 90th anniversary last year, and as well as showing me around their facilities, they told me all about their recent partnership with Bunzl, their new Eco-Force range, and what they’ve got in store for the future.
Elsewhere, we’ve got some great advice columns and case studies from the likes of Truvox and Host von Schrader, who tell us how their Dry Extraction system helped get one Exeter nightclub out of a pretty sticky situation.
