YEARS IN BUSINESS Family-owned company Harrison Wipes is celebrating 125 years in business this year. Established in 1891 in Great Yarmouth by the present Owner and Managing Director’s great grandfather, Saul Harrison, the company is respected as one of the most long-established and knowledgeable suppliers of wipes and wiping solutions in the UK.

Stephen Harrison, who is also Chairman of the Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association, said of the landmark anniversary: “We’re incredibly proud to have reached this milestone, and we would like to say a special thank you to our employees, customers and partners throughout the year.”

The partnership will enable the European FM provider to continue to deliver the highest quality products and services to its clients, whilst also being able to offer more effective and environmentally friendly solutions.

Scott Newland, Chief Operating Officer of ECS, said: “We are very pleased to have strategically partnered with Diversey Care following a long history of working together. Customer service and a commitment to quality are the foundations on which the business has been built. “When my great grandfather founded this business he put our customers at the heart of all we do,” explained Stephen. “We have always remained true to this.

“We have probably the most comprehensive range of wipes in the UK and are the sole UK licensed converter of Sontara and are the main distributor of Chicopee products as a direct result of our determination to meet customer needs. This means we can find the right solution, almost whatever the wiping requirement.”

Stephen added that the company’s employees help to underpin the Harrison Wipes commitment to quality and customer service. “Their contribution has been fundamental to our success,” he said. “We are profoundly grateful for their ongoing support and contribution, without

to our clients in a more sustainable and efficient way, through the use of best in class products and cutting- edge technology, alongside smarter ways of working.”

Diversey Care will not only work with ECS to maximise productivity and efficiencies on a European scale, but also on a local level, collaborating with ECS Partners to tailor solutions depending on differing regional requirements.

The strategic partnership will be particularly effective given the common goals of the two organisations. With sustainability central to the ethos of both companies, ECS will be able to assist its clients in achieving more environmentally friendly practices and processes in all aspects of their business operations. Diversey Care’s ultra-concentrated cleaning products and intelligent dosing machines have been specifically design to address this, helping to reduce packaging, transportation requirements, onsite storage space and chemical wastage. Of the packaging that is required, 100% is recyclable.

In addition to environmental benefits and enhanced service delivery, ECS’s clients will be given the opportunity to be at the forefront of trialling new Diversey Care technologies before they are released to the market. This will initially include involvement in the research and development of Diversey’s range of ‘Intellibot’ floorcare machines, which are becoming increasingly sought-after in the Facilities Management industry thanks to features such as Hands-Free Cleaning, Intelli-Trak and Eco-Save.

which we would not have been able to build a successful business.”

He added that Harrison Wipes’ longevity can also be attributed to its ongoing commitment to innovation. He said: “We continually invest in new machinery and product development to ensure our offer meets our customers’ evolving needs.

“We could not succeed without the ongoing loyalty of our customers and partners. We’re very grateful for their continued support.”
