Premier Surface entrance matting manufactured by COBA Flooring has been installed at Hangar-42 Events Centre at Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire.
Hangar-42, a 30,000 square-foot event centre managed by the Bruntinthorpe Events team, hosts all sorts of events from exhibitions, trade shows and conferences, to corporate and private parties. The facility has an impressive glass-fronted reception area which forms the main entrance to Hangar-42, and required a new entrance matting system; one that looked smart and could cope with the high volume of pedestrian footfall. In the absence of a recessed matwell, the matting also had to be installed on the existing floor surface. COBA Flooring’s Premier Surface met the criteria perfectly, and was subsequently installed by Tailored Matting Ltd.
Premier Surface is ideal for busy entrance areas that do not have recessed matwells. The robust PVC interlocking tile system with carpet insert is designed to be laid to the floor surface. The system is supplied with impact-resistant PVC bevelled edges and corners, which are secured to an aluminium frame. In terms of durability, this system can withstand supermarket trolleys and goods cages, as well as pushchairs and wheelchairs making it ideal for many commercial entrance areas. It has been successfully load tested to 1000kg. The PVC base tile is manufactured from 100% recycled materials, and they can be linked together to cover any size required.

ON BRAND COBA Flooring has expanded its range once again following the introduction of Precision Inlaid Logo Matting to its custom- branded collection of entrance mats. Logomat Precision offers a luxurious, durable and functional alternative to its traditional printed counterparts with a high-quality finish, while effectively promoting a brand image.
This new capability follows the installation of robotic technology for precision cutting at COBA Flooring’s manufacturing facility in Leicestershire. Any brand design, from the simple to the intricate, can be reproduced with an exceptional standard of clarity. Using high quality polypropylene materials, the process involves precision cutting each component of the design. These components are then inlaid into the mat during the final assembly process. There is an extensive colour palette to choose from, with unlimited options for creativity.
Logomat Precision is available as Precision Nib (Needlepunch) and Precision Loop (Needlefelt). Precision Nib features a heavyweight pile which, while looking plush, is sufficiently abrasive to scrape and wipe footwear, while Precision Loop effectively wipes and absorbs moisture.
Both options are hardwearing making them suitable for busy entrance areas and both are available with edging for loose lay applications, or without edging for recessed matwell installations. Edges will not unravel or fray.
