BUSINESS AND PLEASURE

Here, we present two recent installations in the hotel and leisure sector, which prove that Polyflor can provide flooring to suit any setting.

POLYFLOR IS RIGHT ON TRACK AT

THOMAS LAND Heavy commercial vinyl flooring from Polyflor Ltd was recently used to create a fun train track floor design at Drayton Manor Park’s Thomas Land in Staffordshire, UK.

Multiple designs from Polyflor’s Expona Flow commercial sheet vinyl collection were selected to create a floor inspired by the children’s TV series Thomas and Friends for the Thomas Land gift shop and Engine Shed photo area.

Three shades from the Expona Flow Cosmos range, Woodland, Taupe and Luna, provided a bold and eye- catching backdrop, while the Bronzed Pine design from the Expona Flow Wood collection was used to replicate the look of railway sleepers. Approximately 700m² of Expona Flow was installed at Thomas Land by Tamworth-based flooring contractors Floortec, with them expertly cutting out the impressive track design by hand.

Douglas Stuart, Head of Facilities at Drayton Manor Park said: “We’re really pleased with our new Polyflor Expona Flow sheet vinyl flooring. Here at Drayton Manor Park we are all about making children’s experiences extra special and this Thomas themed flooring really continues the magic. Thank you to everyone from the Polyflor and Floortec teams for all their hard work”.

Ideal for use in busy retail environments, the hardwearing Expona Flow PUR collection of heavy commercial sheet vinyl floorcoverings includes 50 wood, stone and abstract designs in a two metre-wide sheet format with a 2mm gauge and a 0.7mm wear layer. For superior cleaning benefits, Expona Flow flooring is cross linked and cured with Polyflor PUR polyurethane reinforcement for a simple polish-free maintenance regime.

Polyflor’s Expona Flow range contains recycled material and is 100% recyclable via the Recofloor vinyl take back scheme.
