THE CLEANING SHOW REVIEW
The Verdict So by all accounts, the Cleaning Show 2015 was a huge success. The decision to relocate down to London proved to be very beneficial and the general consensus in the showroom was that it was a vast improvement on recent years. But don’t just take our word for it, here’s what some of the big name exhibitors from the show thought about the event:
Doug Cooke, Chairman of the British Cleaning Council, said: “It was a brilliant three days. There was a great buzz in the hall and it really did go beyond our expectations. I thought the exhibitors made a huge effort; the product demonstrations were superb, and their stands looked really bright and innovative. There were a lot of good quality enquiries as well as direct sales made on the stands, which is something we were eager to achieve at this show. It was a truly outstanding event, and a clear demonstration that the cleaning industry is in rude health.”
While Phil Jones, Prochem Europe Sales Manager, added: “Any doubts as to this show’s ability to draw quality trade attendance to the capital were

dashed to the ground as far as we are concerned. We had a very good turnout from existing and prospective distributors and cleaning businesses, as well as commercial and public sector specifiers. Well organised too, this event clearly retains its relevance to the sales and marketing of global cleaning technology innovation.”
Industrial Cleaning Equipment (ICE) had a very impressive stand, with a massive TV screen and complementary ice cream bar. And Darren Marston, Chairman of ICE, said: “We’re all very excited to exhibit at a clean, new, fresh show and location. It’s been really vibrant, really good, and we’ve had some great quality business and excellent dialogue. We’re big supporters, and have exhibited uninterrupted at the Cleaning Show for the past 20 years, and I’m very excited that the show has gone some new energy.”
Meanwhile, SCA returned to the show after an eight-year absence, and proved to be a hit, with a barista from hip London coffee house The Attendant doling out free lattes, espressos and cappuccinos, which was particularly appealing first
thing in the morning each day. After the show, SCA’s Marketing Communications Manager Jamie Wright said: “There was a real buzz about the show, and our stand was inundated with visitors. Many said they were delighted to see SCA back after an eight-year gap. There’s a real buoyancy about the industry at the moment and this was what inspired us to exhibit at the Cleaning Show once again.”
Finally, Leigh Mason, Sales and Marketing Director at Nilfisk, added: “Nilfisk are committed to the cleaning industry, and as part of our commitment, we were one of the first confirmed attendees at the newly located 2015 Cleaning Show. We attended the event to meet current clients and launch a large number of innovative cleaning machines, and additionally we met many new prospects during the course of the show. We tried to make visiting our stand informative, but also make cleaning machines fun with the Nilfisk Racing Bug driving experience. Would we attend again? Based on the success of the 2015 event, yes – see you in 2017!”
