News 7 mes taking shape

Over 700 houses providing fresh starts across Glasgow The very first tenants have moved

into their homes at Sighthill with others due to get their keys over the summer. Most of the tenants are from the nearby flats which are coming down. GHA’s 141 houses are the first part of a major regeneration project.

A huge regeneration project is under way in North Toryglen with the first GHA tenants moving into our 100 homes. Everyone should have picked up their keys by summer.

Both Sighthill and North Toryglen

are areas treated as a priority for regeneration.

Over in Dalmarnock, the former Commonwealth Games Village has been turned into a new community with 700 homes – 98 of them for our tenants.

Tenants in Scotstoun and Yoker

are watching 116 new homes take shape on a site where there used to be two of the Kingsway multi- storeys. There will be 102 flats and 14 houses there when it’s finished next year.

The first tenants, many from nearby Sighthill, are moving

into their new homes in Barmulloch now. All 157 houses should be finished by autumn.

Tenants have also moved into

affordable mid-market homes we built at Croftfoot Road in Castlemilk. Our mid-market homes are managed by our partner organisation Lowther Homes.

In Rosemount – where some blocks are also being demolished – tenants will shortly move into 100 new homes.
