Product News Y1924 - A VINTAGE EAR FOR GLASS DESIGN WORLD BEER AWARDS 2017 RESULTS

HOGS BACK BREWERY TEA: GOLD MEDAL, 4% – 5% ABV BITTER

HOGSTAR ENGLISH CRAFT LAGER: GOLD MEDAL, CZECH-STYLE PALE LAGER

Rupert Thompson, Managing Director of Hogs Back Brewery, says:

1924 is the name given to the latest collection of vintage glassware from Libbey. The title pays homage to a classic era in the history of cocktails, as the new range, which comprises a coupe, wine/cocktail glass and G&T goblet, fuses jazz-age flair with exciting new cocktail trends. Libbey glassware for professionals is distributed exclusively to the foodservice industry by Artis.

THE 1924 GLASSWARE COLLECTION BY LIBBEY

The new 1924 Libbey vintage stemware draws inspiration from Royal Leerdam designer A.D. Copier’s original 1924 design. With thin distinctive stems, embossed footplates and elegant rims for enhanced flavours. These glasses epitomise everything that makes cocktails so popular: bygone age sophistication coupled with a modern twist.

The 24cl coupe, the 26cl wine/cocktail glass and the amazing 62cl G&T glass all have a list price of £3.99 each.

Leading Mixologist, Andrei Talapanescu of the Pulitzer Bar in Amsterdam was enthused to say of the new range: “ For me, Libbey represents the perfect

“We’re absolutely delighted that our flagship ale has won Gold in the 4% – 5% ABV Bitter category while our English Craft Lager has been awarded Gold in the Czech-style Pale Lager category at the World Beer Awards. We devote considerable care and craft to making both TEA and Hogstar authentic and distinctive beers that are enjoyed as much by mainstream beer drinkers as they are by craft aficionados. TEA is brewed with 100% Surrey-grown Fuggles hops, while Hogstar is brewed with five hops including our own English Cascade grown in our hop garden, as well as a Czech/Germany and American hop variety, making it a genuinely international beer with a unique English twist.”
