WINNERS

MANAGEMENT OF LONG-TERM CONDITIONS

Martina Foudy and Iona Skinner, Dickies Pharmacy, Torry, Aberdeen with David Guest, Wockhardt UK DICKIES PHARMACY, TORRY, ABERDEEN

The Dickies Pharmacy team goes that extra step to ensure that they can provide all services required by their patients. The pharmacy has, for example, a Polish dispenser, who is able to communicate information to its many Polish patients. These efforts were recognised by the judges, who said that the ‘winning submission focussed on the importance of the pharmacy’s patients having an understanding of their condition and

the benefits of CMS’.

‘Their focus on patient feedback and great relationship with their local GP resulted in a submission that stood out,’ the judges said.

‘It was great to be nominated,’ said Martina Foudy, ‘but it’s even more fantastic to have won.

‘We work well with our local GP and it’s that collaboration that has led to

this award I think.’

‘I think from Wockhardt UK’s point of view, it’s great to see the work that’s being done in local communities by pharmacy teams such as our winners – Dickies Pharmacy – and I wish them well,’ said David Guest.
