FWDC members at the The Fort Worth Dressage Club (FWDC) is a club devoted


to dressage and dressage activities for its members. We work throughout the year to provide educational opportunities and fun activities for our members. FWDC holds monthly meetings at Szechuan Chinese


Restaurant off Bryant Irving the 4th Monday of every month at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome. FWDC’s membership form can be found on our website


at www.fortworthdressageclub.com. Please join for a year filled with dressage activities! We welcome all levels of rid- ers on all breeds of horses. Our website also contains past newsletters with pictures of


members at different events and the latest happenings. FWDC sends out a weekly group e-mail to its members to


keep them informed of club happenings and dressage activi- ties in the area. Please let me know if you would like a dres- sage event added to our calendar and we would be happy to do so. And if you have a personal accomplishment let us know and we would love to recognize you! FWDC also sends out a twice a month newsletter to mem-


bers with member highlights, classifieds and club happenings. We just completed our recognized Dressage Show held


at Somervell Expo in Glen Rose March 25 and 26. This show counted towards Championships to be held in October in Katy. We held a reception for participants and volunteers on Fri- day night featuring our annual Wear Red for Wings of Hope donation. We will be

Million Dollar Rider, on February 23, at the Arbuckle Mountain Futurity in Ard- more. He won that Open Derby on Mike and Debbie Schrader’s Game On Smooth and also split 8th-10th on Lenas O Dual, owned by Lu Liles. T.J. and his wife, Ashley, manage TJ Good Performance Horses in Marietta, and he will be eligible to be inducted into the NCHA Million Dollar Rider Hall of Fame in 2018.


Jennifer McGrath recently took the


reins as TQHyA Youth Advisor. She and daughter Kamiah moved from Tennessee to Schulenberg, TX, about a year ago.


Hanna Olausson, San Antonio,


showed A Classy Chex to win the all- around titles for Youth Level 1 as well as Youth 13&U, at the Silver Dollar Circuit, held at South Point, Las Vegas, NV, Feb- ruary 24-March 1.


Michelle Petty, San Antonio, was


thrilled when Yankees Prince George again proved himself as The Comeback Kid February 25. He won the coveted Best Condition Award for the 25-mile di- vision in the Heart of the Hills Endurance Ride at Bandera State Natural Area in Bandera. While training for the race just 3 weeks before, the horse had suffered a mysterious colic that required 3 vet visits before he recovered and was cleared for the race. Regardless, on race day George completed the 25 miles and pulsed down to 60 beats per minute in 2 hours and 27 minutes, having carried 219 lbs.

Money won the Youth 13&U competition at NRHA’s Great Winter Slide in Katy March 4.


Mattie Dukes, Weatherford, received a


3-judge composite score of 223 on One Time Player on March 5, to win the NCHA youth competition at HLSR.


Jordan Davis, Madisonville, and Lazy


Illusion were reserve champions in the 3&4- Year-Old Ltd NP WP Futurity at the Arizona Sun Circuit in Scottsdale March 8.


Ellie Schreck, Murphy, and Stylish Pink


won the Youth and $1,000-Novice-Rider classes at ASWTCHA’s March 11 show in Belton.


Tyler Terry suffered major broken fa-


cial bones after a being hit in the face by a 15- pound rock while he watched an ATV race March 11. Tyler is a full-time working cow- boy in Muenster and also operates 2T Ranch and Performance Horses. He and wife Michelle have a 1-year-old son, Quaid. Now Continued on page 34
