THE M-HAS SYSTEM DESIGN FOR REAL TIME PERFORMANCE IN MONITORING

The M-HAS monitoring system has been developed by Turner Wind Services and offers a capability to view the condition of critical machinery performance and allow the user to predict and plan for machine maintenance and repair

The system when set up can determine the deterioration in machine performance and after a baseline established data collection period give estimation on the asset’s useful life based on this.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

System hardware would comprise of instrumentation to monitor the condition of the wind turbine gearboxes through monitoring of the machine lubricant and vibration of the machine gearbox and generator. Instruments would communicate with a localised processing module which would store and transfer data to a remote site to be further processed with diagnostics performed and user accessed via an internet browser. The system would provide the user with the capability to connect various Analogue and Digital instruments with sensing capabilities to determine a cost effective yet custom made diagnostic solution. The system can also control on parameters as specified in the web hosted system set up. Feedback is also possible to respond and adjust machine runtime functions.
