El comienzo del 2017 ha sido un período emocionante con muchas y nuevas oportunidades además de fuentes de inspiración. Estoy extremadamente complácida de anunciar que la revista, bajo el nuevo nombre de Spa & Wellness MexiCaribe, expande su cobertura a El Caribe y Latinoamérica, además de la industria del spa y el bienestar en México. Ahora nos encontramos alcanzando a más de 12 mil lectores de toda la región, proviéndoles con información de la industria a profesionales; asimismo, presentamos tendencias, ideas y reseñas de spas a viajeros del bienestar y entusiastas del spa, con miras a visitar esta área.

Dentro del marco del Global Wellness Institute, lanzé recientemente una nueva iniciativa de Women in Leadership (Mujeres en liderazgo, por su traducción al español). Con el apoyo de un comité pequeño, hasta ahora, hemos dispuesto guías para la formación de círculos de diálogo y aprendizaje dentro de la industria del bienestar con grupos de entre ocho a quince mujeres quienes se conectan mensualmente para trabajar en sus habilidades de liderazgo y apoyarse entre ellas. La respuesta hasta el momento ha sido increíble y no existen límites, para individuos o compañias, acerca del número de personas a involucrarse en esta iniciativa. El primer establecimiento caribeño en ser incluído en Spa & Wellness MexiCaribe es el asombroso One & Only Ocean Club Spa (ver más en la pág. 14). Comunícate con nosotros para que tu spa o resort aparezcan en alguna edición futura de Spa & Wellness MexiCaribe.

The start of 2017 has been an exciting time with many new opportunities and sources of inspirations. I am extremely pleased to announce that the magazine, under the new brand name of Spa & Wellness MexiCaribe now covers the Caribbean and Latin America in addition to the spa and wellness industry in Mexico. Now reaching over 12,000 readers across the region delivering industry information to professionals in addition to trends, insights and spa reviews to wellness travelers and spa enthusiasts looking to visit the area.


Under the umbrella of the Global Wellness Institute I recently launched a new initiative for Women in Leadership. With the support of a small committee (so far) we have put together guidelines on forming Lean In Circles within the wellness industry - groups of 8-15 women who connect monthly to work on leadership skills and support each other. The response so far has been incredible and there are no limits as to how many people can join the initiative and get involved either as an individual or as a company.
