Financial  Advertisement feature NEVER TOO OLD FOR A MORTGAGE!

The mortgage market has changed considerably in recent years and no one has noticed this more than local adviser Sarah Ferrell.

“I am finding that I speak increasingly to

people who are retired, or approaching retirement, and they need to raise mortgage finance for a whole variety of different reasons but the high street is unable to help”, she says.

With over 20 years’ experience in the mortgage market Sarah continues to deal with all manner of mortgage enquiries and is one of the few advisers fully qualified and licensed to handle “traditional” as well as retirement lending.

Whether you need to repay a mortgage, finance some unexpected expenditure or just make your retirement more comfortable, there are many options available.

Retirement mortgages or equity release can provide a safe and very welcome solution to many people who just don’t know that this may be an option.

Sarah says: “I find that lots of people who could benefit from raising money at retirement are put off by bad press and other people saying it is a bad idea, when in truth there are so many different options that there is bound to be a solution. What is important is getting the right scheme for the individual.”

Sarah explains that there are many different ways in which retirement mortgages can be set up so it is definitely not a “one size fits all” scenario. She stresses that there is so much regulation and protection in place nowadays that the schemes of the past are unrecognisable to the wealth of options available today.

“My role is to fully understand why somebody is looking to raise the money, what their plans for the future are and then find the scheme that is right for them. This is the case for all clients, be it a first time buyer, an investment

purchase, a re-mortgage or retirement lending.

“If somebody is considering raising a mortgage, for whatever reason then I would strongly recommend a conversation. I take great care in searching for the most suitable option for my clients and I get great satisfaction from being able to help,” she says.

Sarah is happy to visit your home and, unlike many banks, she is not just available from 9 to 5, but will offer flexible times to suit her clients.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
