Medway in Flames Rochester waterfront Water screens, digital projection, characters from history, pyrotechnics, special effects and fireworks will bring the Battle of Medway to life. This spectacular finale to the Battle of Medway Festival will depict the events leading to the raid on the Royal Dockyard at Chatham, Upnor Castle and the ships of the English Royal Navy anchored on the River Medway.

Hever Home Front, Hever Castle Discover what life and work was like during WWII. Look out for demonstrations from Home Guard re-enactors, visit the tea dance tent, explore vintage stalls and learn to swing- dance. Come in 1940s dress and round the day off with a traditional afternoon tea. Normal admission prices apply.

June 17 – 23 Dickens Week, Broadstairs Dickensian delights for all the family — talks performances, fairs, walks, and a chance to step back in time to the Victorian era. Highlights include a country fair and Dickensian beach party.
