BHS recently adopted Learning Guidelines that promote a ‘Balanced Learner’ approach to each student’s education. It places the student, always, at the centre— supported by the school and family, and encircled by skills and opportunities that each student is encouraged to fulfil. This ‘Balanced Learner’ philosophy infuses all aspects of BHS life, from the playing field to the science lab to the stage, with the goal of cultivating graduates who are responsible and resourceful, think critically and take measured risks and are well-rounded young adults poised to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
