There is a saying that “children cannot wait.” The 630 students attending BHS, and those who soon will follow, await the new classroom facilities that the Innovation Centre and Arts Wing will bring. To fulfil the school’s mission of creating ‘responsible, global citizens’, as well as preparing those individuals who will become future leaders for Bermuda, BHS needs philanthropic support today. Today’s students, and those who will follow, cannot wait—we must provide them with the necessary tools to equip them as leaders now.


The BHS Board of Trustees, its administration and faculty fully support the $11,500,000 comprehensive campaign to: • Design and build the Innovation Centre (STEM) .......................... $9,500,000 • Remodel the Arts Wing in the Butterfield Building ....................... $ 500,000 • Grow the Annual Appeal ($700,000—2015-2016 | $800,000—2016–2017) ..... $1,500,000


This comprehensive campaign will require the committed efforts of parents and faculty, as well as the generosity and investment of individuals, businesses, and foundations, throughout Bermuda and beyond its shores as well.


Our education must continue to be world-class to compete on a global scale. The Bermudian business community attracts and promotes a competitive global workforce in part due to the outstanding education that BHS and other schools provide. From developing our home grown talent to recruiting executives with families to relocate to Bermuda, education is the backbone of a strong economy.


An investment in BHS is an investment in the long-term sustainability and growth of the island. This project is an urgent educational priority and a necessity for Bermuda to maintain its place in a global economy.


We are on the cusp of great change. Years ago, visionary philanthropists built the campus that enabled us to provide an excellent education for today’s leaders. Now it is your turn to create what is needed for the next generation—innovators of tomorrow who will shape the future of our island.
