TALK BACK WHAT YOU’RE SAYING THIS WEEK

LETTER OF THE

WEEK

I would just like to give praise to Stacy Caunce at Pure Luxury. She helped me secure a lovely luxury family holiday to Mauritius (pictured) and Dubai with business-class flights for the end of July. As always, nothing was too much trouble for her. She called her contact at Heritage Hotels on a Saturday and got rooms secured straight away for my clients – something I feel other tour operators couldn’t or wouldn’t have done. She is an absolute credit to Pure Luxury and this is why we go back to her time and time again! CLAIRE BRADFORD assistant manager, Fred Olsen Travel

Why does dnata forget its own Global Travel?

Story: Midcounties and dnata Travel agree luxury stores partnership Such a shame dnata forget they own a consortium, the Global Travel Group. It would be good to see investment with that.

GLOBALLESS Travel Weekly welcomes a response from dnata

P&O has gone quiet on my Commodore cruise

In 2015, I spent many hours completing the P&O Cruises academy up to Commodore status. P&O has recently issued a new training programme but, despite approaches to them, they do not seem to be honouring the graduation cruises for Commodores, which is the final part of the training. Please, Travel Weekly, can you ask P&O to respond, as they seem to be ignoring any reference to graduation cruises awarded in the former courses.

Huddleston talks sense on EU referendum

Big Interview: Nigel Huddleston, former Google travel head turned MP, weighs up Brexit Nigel Huddleston says: “I’m convinced [Britain] would negotiate a deal with the EU and the only way to get good terms would be to accept some version of freedom of movement. That is a good thing. The Leave side is being naive [if it thinks we won’t].” Finally, someone talking sense about the unrealistic hope of Brexit fans of stopping free movement of people and having a working relationship with the EU like Switzerland, which has been obliged to accept free movement from the EU. Time to stop dreaming!
