Glasgow to gain New York link with Delta

Delta Air Lines is to start flying from Glasgow to New York JFK next summer after commencing flights between Edinburgh and New York at the end of May. Flights from Glasgow will


operate daily from May 26, 2017, offering onward connections from JFK to 60 US destinations including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Orlando. Services will operate in conjunction with Delta partner Virgin Atlantic, which already


offers flights from Glasgow to Orlando through the summer. Delta’s flights will depart Glasgow at 13.00, arriving into New York at 15.40, and return at 23.45 getting into Glasgow at 11.25. The US carrier will offer business


class (Delta One with flatbed seats), premium economy (Delta Comfort+) and economy cabins. Glasgow airport managing


director Amanda McMillan said: “The arrival of Delta Air Lines in Glasgow is fantastic news. There is huge demand for New York and passengers will be able to take advantage of Delta’s extensive network through New York JFK.”
