A Numerology Perspective Ushering in 2017:

By Elizabeth Jackson LMT, RMT

and look at what this year has been about and to plan for what actions to take once it goes direct. In Numerology * (of which I am not an expert but a very interested follower,) 2016 adds up to a 9, bringing the energy of transitions, completion, service, and endings.

I don’t know about you, but I have been experiencing these aspects in many areas of my life over the past twelve months. I know people who have experienced the deaths of loved ones, the loss of a job, the prospect of moving house, illnesses and injuries that changed their daily routines, and the ending of long-term relationships. Many people experienced more than one of these diffi cult challenges in their lives in the past year. Personally, I have had the opportunity to really feel what it is like to just let go; to follow my intuition even if I don’t know if I will land on my feet or my head. I have felt a shift within as I faced again and again (each time wrapped in a different package), my old patterns of unworthi- ness, victim, hero, and savior. I have had to look at myself in each of these roles and make a decision again and again to just let it go. None of those patterns of behavior serve me; none of those roles refl ect who I really am today. Most of the feelings that came with those roles had nothing to do with what was really going on in the present; I was just being presented with a chance to release an old way of being in the world. This was not done lightly; sometimes I suffered before I could get clear. The shift came for me as I was feeling my way through it all; not stuffi ng it or pretending that I didn’t feel the way I did. Then, when I was ready, I did what was necessary to transform that energy into something better. I did this

elcome 2017! As I write this, we are still wrapping up 2016 and feeling the effects of Mercury Retrograde coming on; one last chance to really slow things down

with the help of good friends, excellent practitioners, and the tools that I know work for me: EFT, Body and Energy Work, Exercise, Visualization, Journaling, and Meditation. I have transitioned, ended, completed and asked, “How can I serve?” Does this mean that I have “arrived?” No, it means that I am looking forward to continuing with whatever else presents itself in order for me to grow, evolve, and become more joyful and loving. The richness of life lies in the journey.

I share this because this is the microcosm of my life that I am speaking of, and likewise, could also be true of yours. We are all connected. Look at the microcosm of our lives. There are old anti- quated ways of thinking and being coming around for us to take a hard look at. If we look at the polarizing social and political issues that are surfacing; we see the opportunity for endings, transitions, and completions. We see openings for us to take a leap and do things differently as a nation, as a community member, and as a family member and we trust that we will land solidly. And now, by the time you are reading this, it is a new year with a new pattern perfectly designed by the heavens and the Divine Universal Source for us to take action.

2017 brings the energy of the number 1. It is a time for self, for beginnings, for leadership. It is a time of initiations. This is the year to pay attention to the voice inside; it may be screaming, whispering or simply nudging you to listen. The unique blueprint of your soul wants to be heard. Your life here is precious and too short to spend it in misery or in trying to fi t yourself into a mold of someone else’s design (perceived or actual). You are going to be okay, no matter what, but you are going to thrive if you dare to do something differently than the same old way you always have.
