B-Fit, Halesworth
A NEW fitness centre has opened in Halesworth, situated at 12a Halesworth Business Park. The Fitness Centre is located in a building that was already a gym but the new owners have given the whole building a complete overhaul. B-Fit is owned by Adrian
Nunn, Byron Cook and Dean Page and the business partners have seen a gap in the market and wanted to introduce a complete fitness centre that is inclusive to all, rather than a gym concentrating on weights and powerlifting. The team started by gutting
the whole building and completely re-furbishing it on both floors. The colour scheme is bright and clean and this creates a warm and inviting environment. The reception area leads in to the first set of equipment and machines downstairs which focus on weight and resistance training. Moving upstairs is where
you will find the new selection of cardio machines. The team have bought two treadmills, two cross-trainers, two exercise bikes, two rowing machines and one stair climber. Between them, these machines work the whole body and have excellent cardio-vascular benefits. The first floor also has a
large studio at the end. Byron explains that this will be used for various classes such as yoga, boxercise, and other fun and interesting ways of keeping fit and healthy. Of course, having this equipment is all well and good but you still need someone at the helm to make sure clients are getting the maximum benefit from the equipment, and that they are using the machines safely. Of the three partners, it is Byron that you will find at B-Fit making sure this is happening. Byron is a fully qualified personal trainer and so he knows the facilities and equipment inside out. The major benefit of having a fitness professional such as Byron on site is that he is able to offer a full induction to all new members and is always on hand to make sure clients are working effectively towards reaching their own
individual goals. This is an important point.
Byron explains that clients use a gym for a number of reasons, whether it is weight loss, fitness, strength and conditioning, balance or even injury prevention. Of course, alongside the superb facilities, Byron is able to offer one-on- one personal training sessions. These are great for making sure that clients really do achieve their goals. Byron offers an initial consultation where he gets to know his clients and understands what it is they want to achieve. From here, Byron will put together a bespoke fitness and training plan which he will adapt and amend over time to make sure his clients achieve their own specific goals. You could be forgiven for thinking that such a well- equipped fitness centre with a fully qualified personal trainer on hand would mean high membership fees. However, the team have introduced some flexible and excellent
value packages. Firstly, the gym is available on a pay as you go system at just £5 per session. Monthly membership is £30 per month or £25 per month for over 50’s or annual subscriptions are available at £300 or £250 for over 50’s and there is even a couples’ membership available for £50 per month. B-Fit is open seven days-a-
week with some challenging and interesting outside training sessions taking place on Saturday and Sunday for those who like something a little bit different. B-Fit is open 6.30am – 12.30pm and 4pm – 9pm during the week, so there is plenty of time to go before or after work. Saturday and Sunday it is 9am – 1pm.
