need to meet subject criteria.

• Consideration for entry into the sixth form will be given to students with a high Grade 4 in English Language and mathematics and who meet subject criteria.

• To move from AS to A2 study in an unreformed subject, a minimum of a Grade E at AS is required . • To study at Level 2 you need 5+ A*-G grades and meet individual course criteria.

• In Year 13 some students will have the opportunity to take an EPQ (see page 27). A-LEVEL REFORM

For most A-level reformed subjects, courses will run for two years with examinations in the summer of 2019.

There are no longer any public examinations at the end of the first year. However, internal examinations will be taken in order to assess student progress.

Unreformed subjects will retain AS examinations during 2018. ONE YEAR COURSES

In recognition of the fact that students progress at different rates, and that a curriculum that meets the needs of one student may not meet the needs of another, we offer BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate

in Business; BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Creative Media Production; BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Sport; and BTEC Diploma in Travel and Tourism. These options will enable successful students to

achieve A-level qualifications at the end of two years of study.
