The bi-annual auctions held in May and November, traditionally focus on high quality works on paper, featuring five centuries of printmaking and drawings. Bassenge focuses on catalogue descriptions that are detailed and compiled in accordance with strict art history criteria and in cooperation with many art historians, museum curators and experts.


In the area of Old Masters prints Bassenge has been considered one of the international leading houses for decades. In recent years the cata- logue of paintings and drawings of the 15th-19th century as well as contemporary masters have become an established part of the business.

Especially their oil studies of light, nature and landscapes are very sought after on the international art market. During the three years of cooperation Titelbech and Bas- senge have succeeded in finding and offering several of these delicate oil studies.

The Academy in Copenhagen was a center for art in Europe from the end of 18th to the beginning of 19th century. Today we serve a distinguished cli- ent list including museums from Europe and abroad, private collec- tors and an exclusive circle of international connoisseurs who appreciate extraordinary and rare prints.
