The reputation as a high quality café is spreading fast for this remarkable family dairy business that opened their doors again in 2015. It all began in 1888 with Frederick Green, and closed in 1958 on the retirement of the third generation, Norman Jenks who had hopes to expand the business into ice-cream, but sadly it wasn’t to be.
The story struck a chord with Norman’s daughter, Shirley and granddaughter, Gilly, and once again the family business is welcoming back customers, but this time to an elegant Georgian Townhouse in Agincourt Square, Monmouth.
Open 7 days a week, they offer delicious homemade gelato, coffee and cakes, lunches, afternoon teas, celebration cakes, parties and even gin and gelato evenings!
