10 ANDRITZ MIAC 2016: Better than ever M
ore than 5,000 visitors are expected to attend the beautiful
city of Lucca in Italy for the 23rd MIAC paper industry exhibition from Wednesday to Friday, 12-14 October. It’s a truly international event. Last
year MIAC attracted paper industry professionals from 56 countries who were able to meet representatives from 270 exhibiting companies, a total which is expected to be exceeded this year. MIAC is the official exhibition of the paper, board and pulp industry manufacturing companies in Italy (Assocarta) and the Lucca Industrial Association (Confindustria Toscana Nord) which has organised a comprehensive conference programme in parallel with the event, during which mill and
converter technicians will be able to update themselves on the latest advances in tissue, paper and pulp making technology. First of three conferences is the
MIAC Tissue Conference being held in two sessions on the mornings of 12 and 13 October. The first session provides an
update of recent developments in the tissue process including news about machine technologies with a focus on efficiencies. This is complemented by presentations from additive and equipment suppliers and a market presentation focusing on tissue parent roll trade. The second session provides an
update of developments along the tissue process including news in concepts both in the tissue machine area as well as in tissue converting. This is complemented by equipment and service suppliers and a market
