(MARYAH) and The San Diego LGBT Community Center invite you to join them again in 2016, as they look to fight homelessness by scaring up much- needed funds for the anything-but-scary, lifesaving Youth Housing Project. The 11th Annual Harvest Howl is back at the Downtown San Diego’s Central Library, 330 Park Boulevard, taking place onThursday, October 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy live entertainment and tasting stations from wonderful, local restaurants and a hosted bar during this Halloween-themed celebration! As they say, “It is better to give than to receive…” Though in a vampiric sense, I’m not sure that applies! DUSK: HALLOWEEN PARTY WITH A PURPOSE Celebrating its recent 30th anniversary of changing
lives one voice at a time, the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus now has more than 200 members, making it one of the largest gay choruses in the world. Having sung at locations including the White House and the Super Bowl, the group’s official mission is, “To create a positive, musical experience through exciting performances that engage audiences, build community support and provide a dynamic force for social change.” If you’d like to help them scare up extra support for their efforts, while having a ghostly, good time, join them for their annual hell-raising, Halloween fundraiser called DUSK onSaturday, October 29.
