October Teatre Royal Norwich

Modern dance company Rambert visit Norwich October 6-7 with three pieces including the sassy A Linha Curva which won the company an Olivier Award. Some Hot Stuff is guaranteed as Te Full Monty returns Oct 10th-15th. Te cast includes Gary Lucy ,Andrew Dunn and Chris Fountain. More stars take to the stage in the fundraising variety night May Contain Nuts which benefits the theatre’s new Stage Two building, including Griff Rhys Jones and Te Nimmo Twins. Te Teatre Royal will be alive with Te Sound of Music from October 18-22 as the story of the Von Trapp family returns, and Lucy O’Brien from Te Voice plays Maria. Don’t miss Al Murray on September 23, before Northern Ballet bring the classic fairytale Beauty & Te Beast to life on September 26-29 with a live score. Finally in October an all-star cast presents Chicago from October 31 starring John Partridge and Jessie Wallace.

8th Oct Clutter City Norwich Arts Centre

After a short hiatus it’s time to gather up your coin and head down for a lovely browse around Clutter City at the Arts Centre. With loads of independent local craftspeople selling their wares, from jewellery to lampshade this is a must, especially as we approach the C word in December. Grab a snack and drink from the bar and enjoy a spot of live music while you’re at it. Brilliant.

October Te John Peel Archive presents Stuart Braithwaite John Peel Centre for Creative Arts, Stowmarket

After successful events with Jarvis Cocker and Julian Cope, the John Peel Archive have invited Stuart Braithwaite out of Mogwai down to Stowmarket to discuss their classic debut album Mogwai Young Team. Classic Album Sundays founder Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy will discuss the influence of John Peel and the making of Young Team with Stuart. Ten enjoy an uninterrupted vinyl replay of John’s personal copy of Young Team on an exquisite valve Audio Note UK audiophile hi-fi. Te evening will wrap up with a Q&A.
