Road, Maidstone, appeared at Mid Kent Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance and drink driving. Hewas stopped while driving his Mazda in Quarry Road and gave a breath test of 77 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Magistrates banned Adams from driving for 20 months. He must also pay a £240 fine, £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.


Peacock killed A PEACOCKwas run over by a ve- hicle on the A20 close to Old Mill Road. It is not known if it was owned locally or had strayed from Leeds Castle where the birds roam freely. The incident happened on September 19.
