Atlas Copco completes acquisition of Leybold Vacuum

ffective as of September 1, 2016, Atlas Copco AB (Stockholm, Sweden) owns the former
Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum GmbH, renamed Leybold GmbH. Founded in 1873, Atlas Copco is a global player with more than 43,000 employees in over 180 countries. Leybold becomes part of
the Vacuum Solutions Division, belonging to the Compressor Technique Business Area, with approximately 6,500 employees represented in over 35 countries. With this acquisition, Atlas Copco trusts the strengths of the vacuum specialists at Leybold, founded in 1850, who will keep their traditional and well-known brand in the market. “The technological

OLIMPIA80 supplies new HF tube mill for high precision tubes in Mexico
Olimpia80 has recently installed in Mexico for one of the world’s leading steel company ArcelorMittal, a HF tube mill for carbon steel high precision tubes, mainly high strength material, destined to the automotive industry. Mentioned HF tube mill covers
a range from OD 9,5 mm up to OD 38,1 mm and wall thickness from 0,5 mm up to 2,25 mm. To perform restrictive
tolerance, in accordance with ASTM A513, Olimpia80 supplied a HF pipe mill with the latest developments and with all modern and advanced technical features.
Olimpia80 supplied turnkey system, finding custom-made solution, the layout has been designed to optimize the available floor space. The tube mill is equipped with

a complete automatised entry section with the aim to reduce the set-up time. Single motorization for each stand in order to equilibrate the used power and to better control the torque in every passage, consequentially reducing
the rolls wearing. Predisposition for the quick-change of cassettes, and above all mechanical expansion shafts on all stands moreover n°8 stands in sizing to obtain a perfect surface. Furthermore the main
