to become the first Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet to be elected President of the United States...on the Republican ticket. Watch as the gals take back America, by out-pandering, out-conspiracy theorizing and out-outlandishing even the most cynical, current crop of Presidential candidates, through sharp-witted original songs and biting parodies delivered in glorious four-part harmony. The ladies who comprise Kinsey Sicks are always spot on, fun and I’m glad to see them in the desert on Saturday, July 16 at the Purple Room. LGBT stage company, will present David Dil- lon’s smash hit off-Broadway comedy, Party, opening Friday, June 24, for a six-week run. The wildly popular comedy depicts a group of gay men getting together for their regular evening of drinks and games. Tonight, the game is the gay version of Truth or Dare, called “Fact, Fiction or Fantasy.” True life sto- ries are shared, fictional encounters related and fantasies revealed that often require the players to remove clothing. By the end of the evening, everyone is nude and laughing, in a great show of brotherhood. Playwright Dillon says, “Party is not about flesh, but celebrates the fact that, as a group, we are positive and honest about our sexuality and free from a lot of the inhibitions and hang ups that exist in other groups.” The play opened for a five-week run in Chicago that turned into a two-year engagement, followed by a hugely successful Off-Broadway production and subsequent productions in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Orleans, London and Ft. Lauderdale. For tickets and more informa- tion, go to desertroseplayhouse.org. Enjoy your July, my sweets and make
