FRONT RUNNERS & WALKERS PRIDE 5K WALK AND RUN Perhaps you need a little exercise after all the parties, events and cock-
tails? Then the Front Runners & Walkers Pride 5K Run & Walk on Saturday, July 16 is the route you must follow. Participation has grown tremendously for this event over the years, with 725 participants for 2015, so this year’s should be huge! Your generous participation and support allowed orga- nizers to donate a combined total of $10,000 to the LGBT Center’s Youth Housing Program, which serves homeless and at-risk teens throughout San Diego, and the San Diego Pride Community Grants Program, which funds important LGBT initiatives in our community. The event begins at Centre Street and University Avenue at 9:30 a.m. and features highlights such as, chip timing, medals to the top three male and female finishers in each age group, a continental breakfast and a quality Tech T-shirt for each participant. GREATER SAN DIEGO BUSINESS ASSOCIATION PRIDE MIXER Big changes and exciting possibilities are on the horizon for the GSDBA,
which is something to take pride in for certain. It’s a perfect time to connect with other members and celebrate those changes—not to mention a perfect time to get in the mood for Pride weekend! Join GSDBA and all your friends on Tuesday, July 12 at the University Club Atop Symphony Towers, 750 B Street, 34th Floor, as they kick off San Diego’s LGBT Pride Week for their Annual Pride Business Social, right on top of the world! Enjoy cocktails and delectable ap- petizers as you mix and mingle with friends old and new, with stunning sunset views over the Pacific Ocean and the San Diego bay and skyline from the city’s finest membership club. MAN UPP PRIDE Need more parties to choose from for your Pride celebra-
tions? Joe Whitaker’s Man Upp presents three for your partying pleasures. DILF San Diego Out and Proud Underwear/Jock Party is happening on Friday, July 15 at The Brick Bar from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. DJ Corey Craig and Matt Effect will spin. Saturday, July 16 the Splash Out and Proud Rooftop Tea Dance takes place at downtown’s Doubletree by Hilton rooftop pool deck from 12 to 6 p.m. and features DJs the Perry Twins and Dom de Sousa. Finally, for another chance to “get soakin’ wet”, the THRIVE High Tea Pool Party returns to the Doubletree by Hilton rooftop pool on Sunday, July 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with DJs Glovibes and dirty Kurty.
