TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE WEDDING r Contact guests that failed to respond to invitations. r Give final “head count” to reception facility or caterer. r Reconfirm rehearsal time & dates & be sure to share with bridal party.
r Ask a family member or friend to be the guest book attendant at ceremony site.
r Discuss with photographer & videographer a list of special people or events to be captured.
r Make an appointment at a spa for a massage, facial, manicure & pedicure.
r Begin packing for honeymoon (If leaving the country, you need a passport or original birth certificate.)
r Reconfirm with travel agent about honeymoon plans. r If applicable, begin name & address change on all official documents.
r Make arrangements to pick up or have your gown delivered. r Confirm tuxedo rental order & set fitting appointment for the men.
r Catch up on writing thank you cards for wedding gifts received thus far.
r Choose final makeup & hair style for wedding day & set appointment with salon for your wedding day.
r Have bachelor & bachelorette parties prior to rehearsal & definitely not the night before the wedding.
ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE WEDDING r Relax... you’re almost there! r Make sure you have your marriage license. r Write check(s) for officiant’s fee, ceremony musicians or soloists.
r Confirm balance due with each company involved & transfer funds into account to cover final payments.
r Finish packing for honeymoon. r Order travelers checks from travel agent or bank. r Finalize seating plan & place cards for reception. r Review wedding day details with wedding coordinator/ consultant.
r Meet with entertainer(s) & review proper pronunciation of names & finalize reception sequence.
r Prepare wedding day itinerary with times & locations for the wedding party, family members, & wedding vendors.
r Confirm transportation & review wedding day schedule with times & location with driver.
r Hold rehearsal of wedding ceremony & attend rehearsal dinner.
r Have bridal party gifts ready to be given away at rehearsal dinner.
r Send wedding announcement & photograph to local newspapers.
r Go home early after the rehearsal dinner & get a good night sleep... you’re going to need it!

YOUR WEDDING DAY r Sleep in & relax... all your months of planning is about to pay off.
r Enjoy a good breakfast & take the time to reflect upon your new adventure that is about to begin.
r Have someone take a completed invitation to the post office & have it stamped with your wedding date as a keepsake.
r Go to the salon for your makeover & hair styling at least three to four hours before the ceremony.
r Be sure everyone is dressed about two hours before the ceremony & ready for photographs to be taken.
r Have groomsmen at church at least one hour prior to the ceremony to start seating guests as they arrive.
r Begin your music thirty minutes before the ceremony. r Send a love note to your fiance before the wedding begins.
r The groom’s parents are second to the last people to be seated before the ceremony.
r The bride’s mother is the last to be seated, just a few moments before the ceremony begins.
r Have two ushers or groomsman roll out the aisle runner. r Take your position with whomever is giving you away. r“Here comes the bride.....”

AFTER THE WEDDING r Open gifts while keeping a gift record. r Have gown cleaned & preserved. r Write thank you notes. r Check with photographer & videographer. r Have bridal bouquet & other wedding mementos preserved.
r Freeze top layer of wedding cake to be eaten at your first Anniversary celebration.
r Make sure all vendor bills have been paid in full. r Apply for a name change, beginning with Social Security card and driver’s license, and then bank accounts, credit cards, employee records, etc.
