Regal Boats is more than a boat builder, it is a family who for generations, has forged deep connec- tions with its dealers and customers through boating. And Captain’s Village Marina is more than in the business of selling, servicing and mooring boats, they are about passionately sharing and enhancing the boating lifestyle of their customers, family and friends.


Together, Regal Boats and Captain’s Village Marina create experiences that enrich life and create lasting family memories on the water. The Beatch’s are members of both families. Having been part of the Cap- tain’s Village family for over 20 years, they joined the Regal family in 2005 when they purchased a Regal 2860, lovingly called the ‘Megrew’ after their children Megan and Andrew.


Laurence Beatch recalls the Regal “difference” early on when he re- ceived a call from the company President Duane Kuck after express- ing concerns in a survey about his battery configuration. To make the boat more suitable to his needs, Regal agreed to assist the Beatch’s, and Captain’s Village Marina modified the system to their complete


satisfaction. This experience made a lasting impression on both Lau- rence and his wife Patty Beatch, and in 2007 when they decided to upgrade, the question wasn’t “which boat do we buy,” it was “which Regal”. They upgraded to a Regal 3360 Express Cruiser, aptly named the Megrew II, on which they still spend more than 55 nights a year.


Captain’s Village Marina really is about family. With service staff on duty seven days a week, Laurence recalls numerous times someone would come down to repair simple, small things without any advance booking.


A typical weekend on their 3360 begins Friday evening enjoying time with fellow boaters discussing the weekend’s possibilities. Early Satur-
