Crusador xx/Duden), and Werther’s, (Werther/Akzent II). We have been fortunate to purchase several Bridlewood offspring following their competition careers to continue breeding into the second and third generations. And we are now standing the newly imported Leatherdale Farm’s stallions: Fairbanks (Flemmingh/Inselfürst), First Dance (Florestan I/Donnerh- all), Hampton (His Highness/Rotspon) and E. H. Herzensdieb (Tambour/Tivano).

Cedar Lane Sporthorses New Haven, Missouri crowflys@fidnet.com We have been raising Warmbloods for sport since 1994 and our horses tend to excel mostly in the hunter ring, followed by eventing and then dressage. The sire lines that have been most influential have been R-line Holsteiner, most specifi- cally the Raimond sons Ratibor and Ramiro Z. My stallion Pik Ravenclaw carries four crosses to Ramzes through these two individuals and the resulting foals have yet to disappoint. The unique and phenomenal

Percheron stallion, Cottonwood Flame, of Forrest Hill Farm in Lafayette, Indiana, a successful Grand Prix dressage competi- tor himself, has added the ability to sit and jump, along with very powerful and sound hind limbs, to the offspring. His quali- ties come through in both sires and dams that I have used. One particular mare stands out who has produced foal after foal of top quality and she is a daughter of Oh Star. Her foals from either the R-line Holsteiner or Cottonwood Flame bloodlines are wonderful movers, good minded and are often keuring site champions.

Half Pass Farm, Catlett, Virginia www.halfpassfarmva.com As

a smaller breeder (two

to three foals annually), my biggest successes come when utilizing bloodlines that I have enjoyed riding. With the goal of a future FEI dressage horse for myself, there needs to be enough “spark”

to reach the

upper levels, yet at 40-some- thing, my days of fire-breath- ing

dragons are over! The

“R” line stallions (Regazonni, Royal Prince, Roubaix) crossed on some of my older mares (Lauries Crusader xx, Riverman, Rambo) have worked well. The foals have been modern, leggy and uphill with three good gaits and just enough spark. I also

like some Sandro Hit blood if I know that rideability is good on the mare. So far I have produced a premium top scoring mare,

premium foals and some really nice riding horses. The first foal that I bred by Wallstreet Kid campaigned successfully through Preliminary eventing with Olympic rider Kim Seversen, then went on to a successful jumper career, and now is a winning Prix St. Georges horse for her current owner!

Inner Bay Equestrian, Middleburg, Virginia & Southampton, New York www.innerbayequestrian.com Though our program is quite small, we follow a clear theme firmly rooted in America while using specific European influences. Our Thoroughbred foundation mare is Camille (Prize Ring-Crystal Glen-Melyno). Camille is by a Buckpasser stal- lion, out of a mare whose sire was from a Boran mare. Camille was bred to Hanove-

rian As Di Villagana, by Acord II (Ahorn-Almé), three times. The oldest is a mare, As Di Ani Z, whom we bred to Selle Fran- çais stallion Jaguar Mail, whose damsire was Boran and whose sire, Hand In Glove, had Buck- passer in the damsire spot. That cross brought us Cougar Trail, recently sold to John Charlebois and Will Simpson. As Di Ani Z is now competing in jumpers, moving up the

levels. Camille’s second foal, Atherstone (As Di Valentia), won at WEF for owner Bill Schaub and is now competing on the hunter/jumper circuit under his junior owner. Camille’s third foal is As Di Amedea, a 2015 filly still at Inner Bay. Camille will be bred to Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof (Diamant de Semilly–Carthage) for a 2017 foal.
