We had a lovely time in Mojacar; the weather was fantastic, we dined at some divine restaurants and some not so good ones and kept slightly fit with an awful lot of walking. Our room in our hotel was opposite a chemist and one evening at 11pm it was actually showing the temperature to be 19 degrees!
We’ve always wanted to go see Lorca and have passed by it so many times on travels south, so
we decided to leave Mojacar a little earlier in the morning than originally intended to stop off at Lorca on our way home. And I’m so pleased we did; it is a lovely town and the castle itself is definitely worth a visit. The views from there are amazing and you can literally see for miles.
Whilst we were away I received a phone call from my eldest saying it was time for him to fly the nest and get an apartment with his girlfriend. We had only been away a few days but obviously they enjoyed their own space so much they made the decision to leave. So they have now moved into a very nice apartment in Formentera and left our house very quiet and a little lonely. Needless to say, as we now have more living space, my ideas of extending our property have now been put on the backburner.
