Torrevieja’s May Fair will have a slight change to the name and be known as the “Feria de Sevillanas” and be held in the port area from Wednesday 4th May to Sunday the 8th. This year’s Feria will feature local dance schools, the Coro Jose Hódar and the Unión Musical Torrevejense. year’s featured

Thursday 5th, “Pura Sangre”, Friday 6th, “Raya Real” and on Saturday they will pay tribute to Rocio Jurado on the tenth anniversary of her death and Sunday 8th will feature
performances by Jose Manuel “El Mani”. The Feria will also feature the traditional horses and carriages and Rociera Mass will be sung by the choir of the Brotherhood of Rocio of Torrevieja on Saturday.
6th-8th May Campoverde Theatre Group’s forthcoming Production is “Somme” Memories of a Century.” It is now 100 years since the Battle of the Somme in 1916 and so, in memory, the Campoverde Theatre Group’s forthcoming Production is Somme Memories of

a Century. The production will feature song, dance and sketches and it will be in a supper format. It will be performed at Phoenix Nights, just outside of San Miguel, on the road to Campoamor, on the 6th 7th and 8th of May. Tickets are priced at 10€; to include a supper before the show and are available during rehearsals, at the Las Filipinas Community Centre between 2pm and 4pm on both Mondays and Wednesdays. ctgticketline@gmail.com; from the venue at Phoenix Nights just outside San Miguel, and from the Orihuela Costa branch of the Royal British Legion. The proceeds from ticket sales will all be going to both Help For Heroes and the OC branch of the Royal British Legion.
A special “Mother’s Day” concert will be performed by Union Musical Torrevejense Youth Band on Friday 6th May in the Palacio de la Música, Torrevieja’s Music Palace Auditorium, at 8pm. It’s a show for the entire family but space is limited so be there early.
