WHERE IS MISAWA?


Misawa is located in the Aomori Prefecture in the Tohoku region of Japan. It sits on the southern shore of Lake Ogawara. Hachinohe, the nearest city, is about 40 minutes by car. Unlike Tokyo, which is about 400 miles south, Misawa is mostly rural. There are many exciting places to visit in Misawa and its surrounding areas. There are festivals and events throughout the year, which represent Japan’s fascinating culture.
