RYUSENDO CAVE, MORIOKA HANDIWORKS, MORIOKA ZOO
Ryusendo Cave is one of the three largest stalactite caves in Japan, and has been chosen as a national monument. The beautiful blue water & innumerable stalactites create an atmosphere of mystery and awesome beauty.
Morioka Handiworks Watch as professional Japanese craftsmen create 14 different types of handiworks. Explore the shop where the handmade works are available for purchase. You may also tour the “Nanbumagariya,” or Japanese traditional home, and see what Japanese farm life was like 200 years ago.
Morioka Zoo is located on the southern slope of Iwayama. It was designed to allow visitors to observe the animals in their natural environment. People can picnic and enjoy the outdoors while taking in the sights of this new kind of zoological park.
