Healdsburg, CA. ~ At work one day I overheard a woman talking to her spouse. I didn’t hear any of what he

was saying but I did hear her say, on her end, “Okay, if that’s what you want to do. Okay. No, it’s okay.” She was saying “okay” with her words but not with her tone. The tone of one’s voice is so very important. It’s important when dealing

My prob- lem is, sometimes when deal- ing with my children in the continu- ous hustle bustle of our lives I forget the importance of tone. “All right, I’m almost done, can’t you wait one minute!” I hear the words come out of

my mouth and they sound more like a demand than a question. Without missing a beat my

youngest daughter says, “Check your tone old man.”

JOKES & Humor # 3

An uncertain nervous man, was being cross-examined as a witness. The lawyer thundered, “Have you ever been married?”

“Yes, sir,” said the witness in a low voice. “Once.” “Whom did you marry?” “Well, a woman.” The lawyer bellowed angrily, “Of course you married a woman. Did you ever hear of anyone marrying a man?”

To which the witness replied meekly, “My sister did.”
