Fine Art Gallery, Claygate, Surrey is staging a major exhibition of wildlife art by the internationally acclaimed wildlife artist Pip McGarry. The exhibition will run from Saturday April 9th to Saturday April 23rd 2016.
he artist first came to prominence in 2004 with his hit Meridian Television series ‘A Brush With The Wild’ in which he taught celebrities such as Christine Hamilton, Lesley Joseph, Linda Robson and Nerys Hughes how to paint wildlife. The series was presented by Anneka Rice and was filmed on location in Kenya and at Marwell Wildlife Park in Hampshire. Pip was also the founder and Chairman of the largest wildlife art society in Europe, which he ran for sixteen years and has been the ‘Artist in Residence’ at Marwell Wildlife Park since 1999. His work has been published widely in the UK and overseas and many of his paintings have been sold at auction houses such as Christie’s and Sotheby’s – in 2008 his painting ‘Flight of the Zebra’ sold at Christies
